Frequently Asked Questions

  • Therapy is a supportive, collaborative space where we work together to explore your thoughts and feelings, set goals, and develop strategies to help you feel more balanced. At your own pace, we’ll address what’s important to you and empower you to make positive changes. I'm here to guide and support you every step of the way.

Let's schedule a 15-minute consultation call to see if we're a good fit. During this time, we'll get to know each other, and I'll be happy to answer any questions you may have. If we decide to move forward, we can then schedule an intake session where we'll work together to create a personalized treatment plan that aligns with your goals.

  • The length of therapy really depends on your unique goals and what you're hoping to work through. Some people find that they make progress in a few months, while others may choose to continue longer as they navigate deeper challenges or personal growth. The beautiful thing about therapy is that it’s a flexible process, and we’ll work together to check in on your progress and adjust as needed. Ultimately, therapy is about supporting you in the way that’s most helpful, so we’ll go at your pace and you’ll decide when it feels right to take a break or transition out of therapy.

  • Yes, confidentiality is a top priority in therapy. What you share in our sessions will remain private, with a few exceptions (e.g., if you're in danger of harming yourself or others, or if there’s suspected abuse). We’ll discuss confidentiality in more detail during your first session.

  • Yes, we offer only virtual appointments to make therapy more accessible and convenient for you. Whether you're at home, or at work, virtual sessions allow you to connect with me from a space where you feel comfortable. We’ll use a secure, HIPPA compliant easy-to-use platform, and I’ll be there to support you just as I would in person. Your comfort and privacy are my top priority.

  • The frequency of therapy is really up to you and what feels most helpful for your journey. Many people find that attending weekly sessions is particularly helpful, especially in the beginning. Research shows that weekly therapy can lead to more consistent progress, as it provides regular support and momentum. It allows us to build a strong therapeutic relationship, dive deeper into issues, and make steady progress toward your goals. We can always adjust the frequency as we go, depending on how you're feeling and what works best for you. The most important thing is that you feel supported throughout your journey.

  • I don't accept insurance because it allows us to focus on what’s best for you. Insurance often comes with limitations and required diagnoses, which can get in the way of truly personalized care. By working independently, we can create a treatment plan that’s all about your unique needs and goals. Your well-being is our top priority, and this approach helps us support you in the best way possible.

If your insurance offers out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for reimbursement for our sessions. I’m happy to provide a super bill for you to submit to your insurance. I encourage you to reach out directly to your insurance provider to better understand your out-of-network benefits and how they can work for you.

  • I earned my Master’s in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness from New York University, and over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients of all ages, from university counseling centers to private practice. I’m particularly passionate about supporting adults and young adults as they navigate challenges such as trauma, anxiety, racial identity, relational issues, life transitions, and personal empowerment.

I am licensed to practice in both New York and New Jersey, and I am committed to providing a warm, supportive, and collaborative space where we can work together toward your goals.
